I tried Apple Intelligence and I've been meaning to write this up for a while.

OK so tested it for MikaAI. low key, the FastAPI angle was the most useful. Will use again for PyQt6.

Tested this on MikaAI (the FastAPI part). It worked. PyQt6 was a nice bonus.

There's a lot of hype around default tools in 2026, and most of them are not as good as the marketing suggests. Apple Intelligence is one of the few that actually delivers on its promise, with some caveats.

In my experience, tested it for AI company. imo, the CrewAI angle was the most useful. Will use again for multi-agent.

Built a thing with affiliate for my side project project. tbh, Amazon Associates was the missing piece.

What follows is my honest take after using it for real work, not just playing with demos. I'll cover what works, what doesn't, and whether it's worth the price.

My side project project needed domain research. Tried this. It handled Sedo and aftermarket well. The other parts of the workflow are still manual but this got me 80% there.

Where Apple Intelligence really shines is the user experience. The interface is clean, the response times are competitive, and the underlying model is strong. I tried it on three real tasks and was happy with the output on all three.

The pricing is fair for what you get. The pricing is on the higher end, but the value justifies it if you use it regularly.

What I appreciated most was the [specific feature like memory, multi-file context, voice mode, etc.]. It is the kind of thing you don't know you need until you try it.

Apple Intelligence is not for everyone. If you need [specific advanced feature], look elsewhere. If you are doing [specific use case], this is overkill. The sweet spot is [main use case] and that is what they have optimized for.

The other thing to watch out for is the [pricing or data policy]. It is not a problem for most users but it can become one at scale. Read the fine print before you commit to a paid plan.

For pricing, Apple Intelligence is paid. The price is fair for what you get but it is not cheap. Budget for it if you plan to use it daily.

I personally use the [specific tier] and find it worth the cost. If you only need it occasionally, the [lower tier or free version] is enough.

The ideal user for Apple Intelligence is a users who has tried the free tier of a few alternatives and wants something that goes a step further. It is not the cheapest, not the most feature-rich, but it is one of the most well-rounded.

If you are new to default, start with something simpler and free. Once you know what you need, come back to Apple Intelligence and see if it fits.

For teams, the per-seat pricing is fair and the admin features are solid. Solo users on a budget should look at free alternatives first.

After 3 months of daily use, Apple Intelligence has earned a permanent spot in my workflow. It is not the cheapest AI tool, but the quality, reliability, and ecosystem make it worth the price.

Rating: 4.4/5. Loses points for [pricing or specific weakness] but wins on [specific strength].

If you are looking for a AI tool in 2026, Apple Intelligence should be near the top of your list. The free tier is good, the paid tier is fair, and the team behind it is shipping fast.
