saas.pet is the only AI tool directory where the search is the product. Most directories are clickable lists. We built ours as a search engine, so you can find the right tool by what you need to do, not by browsing 700 cards.
Type "make a YouTube video" or "transcribe a podcast" instead of browsing 700 cards. Our search engine matches tools to tasks, not just keywords.
Rankings update every day from Product Hunt, GitHub Trending, and Hacker News. Not based on payment or advertising. Free tools rank equally with paid ones.
270+ first-person reviews written by Alex, who pays for every tool he reviews. No free accounts from vendors. No payment for rankings. Real pros and cons.
Search as much as you want. No account needed. No paywall. No limits. We make money from affiliate links, not from charging users.
📝 Alex's Weekly Note · 2026-08-01
I tested 11 new AI tools this week. Most were forgettable. Three weren't.
1. Cursor 0.43 finally fixed the multi-file refactor bug that bit me three weeks ago. I cancelled my Claude Code subscription for daily coding work because Cursor's agent loop now handles the same tasks 2x faster on my machine. That's a real reversal — I had been telling people Claude Code was the default. It's not anymore.
2. Perplexity Comet shipped browser automation that actually works. I used it to book a flight, scrape 12 competitor pricing pages, and draft a comparison spreadsheet in 4 minutes. The same task took me 40 minutes last week. The agent UX is still rough (you have to baby-sit the first run), but the time savings are real.
3. Midjourney v8 alpha lost the "Midjourney look." I ran 80 prompts. The new model renders cleaner, follows prompts more literally, and produces images that look like Flux renders. That's bad for art directors who wanted Midjourney's signature aesthetic, good for product designers who wanted prompt fidelity.
What I'm dropping: Suno v4 (still great for sketches, but the new v4.5 lost the warmth). HeyGen avatars (uncanny valley got worse with the new face model). Notion AI (slower than ChatGPT at the same tasks, and you can't export results cleanly).
